Petition removal of sharia law courts/sharia comliance from uk
More details
We the undersigned wish Her Majesties Government to debate the removal of sharia compliance/courts from the U.K.
Section 9: human rights act
part 2:
2 Freedom to manifest one’s religion or beliefs shall be subject only to such limitations as are prescribed by law and are necessary in a democratic society in the interests of public safety, for the protection of public order, health or morals, or for the protection of the rights and freedoms of others.
The U.K. Has specific laws for the protection of the rights of;
women,
L.G.B.T. people
Sharia law does not recognise these rights, therefore sharia compliance and sharia courts are circumnavigating both British and European laws.
Under clause 2 the protection of rights and freedoms of others supersedes religious beliefs.
Due to sharia law NOT recognising equality of men with women, lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender people, sharia becomes incompatible with U.K. Law, European law and western law and culture in general.
