Petition Ban the 'psychological torture' of conversion therapy.

Conversion therapy is a non-scientific, usually religiously led attempt to change the client's sexuality or gender identity. This does not work, is strongly rejected by all psychiatric associations and can be extremely harmful to the patient. I ask for 1. a law to be considered making it illegal to try to convert anyone's sexuality or gender identity, and 2. that therapists on the NHS are required by law to declare that they will not discriminate against LGBT people (see article 14 of human rights act).
