Massive savings are achievable

The current structure consisting of four regional teams and twenty-five local area teams is excessively top heavy and too costly.

For example some teams employ over 180 administrators,one appears to have wasted a year on a single "GP commissioning bid/ tender"

Total expenditure on NHS England 's Local Area Teams is circa £40 billion per annum.

Reduce this down to just four effectively managed "slim line" NHS England regional teams, releasing significant funding for reassignment to the currently overstretched front line NHS services including A & E, GP and Mental Health Services.
