Petition Publish animal name on leather as a source of leather

I hereby request the concerned authorities to make change to the product labelling law for leather products such as wallet, coats, jackets, blazers and shoes to enforce the manufacturer to put clear indication of animal name on the source of leather e.g. Pig, Cow, Goat or Synthetic etc. This will allow consumers to fully understand the product before they purchase and avoid misleading purchases and false advertisement of the product.

It is easy to identify on food items after checking the ingredients and a sign of suitable for vegetarian. However, it is difficult to identify on leather products.
