We want the government to ban the media from stating the nationality or the religion of any criminal. Hate is on the rise the media plays a big role in this. Criminals should be treated as criminals. Not Christian criminals, not Jewish not Muslim. Terrorists should be treated as terrorists. Not Christian terrorist, Jewish terrorist or Muslim terrorist. Regardless of who they are, their community should not suffer because of their actions.

It’s about something that the UK Government or Parliament is not directly responsible for.

There are already laws against hate crime to which the media are subject. otherwise, the Government does not censor newspapers. This matter can, though, be raised with the Independent Press Standards Organisation.

We only reject petitions that don’t meet the petition standards.
