Rejected petition Ban The Slaughter Of Animals Using Halal and Kosher Methods

It's currently against the law in the UK to slaughter an animal without it being stunned prior. However, 'exceptions' are made for religious reasons. This is completely unacceptable. Bending a law for a certain faith should not be done! Halal meat should be imported at a higher price and NOT readily available in the UK, killed by sidestepping existing laws.
