In the recent past projects like the BBC-promoted Climate Change Model have been used to harness the spare capacity of millions of home and business PCs to provide free and enhanced computing resources to popular Research causes.
Start a project, alligned with Universities and other Research Establishments to do the same for Antibiotic Research. BOINC is the most common Grid Computing model. Publicise for "the good of mankind" and get the research started!
