Closed Widening of the A52 between Grantham and Saxondale

An E-petition for converting the A52 bewtween Grantham and Saxondale roadabout, into a dual carriageway.

This semi-rural road with many junctions and hidden entrances is just one lane in either direction. This a MAJOR commuting route and the only road from Grantham to Nottingham.
Together with a 40mph HGV speed limit, this leads to many drivers taking unnecessary risks to overtake, causing many deaths every year, this change of road would also ease congestion, see A46 from Newark on Trent to Leicester.
