Petition to stop wasting our tax money on endless smart motorway schemes whilst reducing traffic officers of which are flooding our network creating an ever increasing risk to the economy putting our fast network of connections to a grinding halt.

This includes use of spot speed enforcement which effectively causes the hazard of cars braking and speeding up in-between camera mounted gantries.

Variable reduced limits that are often remain active long after a incident, hazard or congestion has been fully resolved

Excessive numbers of metal gantries and matrix signs creating visual damage to the enviroment

Abolish hard shoulder running where lives are at serious risk from breakdowns and emergency vehicles accessing accident scenes quickly enough

This is madness and all the money being used should be spent on better traditional traffic enforcement to enforce all matters of the law! Bad driving causes accidents!
