Petition Use of the military to extend the police during severe times of unrest

Recent riots throughout London, which have spread to a number of large cities throughout the country are showing how the police forces are currently over stretched, this petition is to request that the government introduce emergency provisions to easily allow the military to extend the police force in such times.

However, to be clear, still leaving the police in-charge and the military would work as an arm of the law and not a law in to their own hands.
