Petition Referendum on MPs having second jobs

We, the undersigned, believe that there should be a ban on MPs holding paid directorships, consultancies, or trade union roles.

We feel it is inappropriate for MPs to hold second jobs, whilst they are representing us full-time in Parliament, and that MPs are able to decide this matter for themselves, when those currently holding second jobs could be influenced by their own interests.

Therefore, we call for a binding national referendum on this issue, to ensure that the British people have their voice heard on this matter, and to help restore public trust in MPs.
