Closed The UK Government should cease antagonising the Russians

Her Majestys Government should cease immediately, the highly dangerous practice of independently antagonising The Russian government and president Putin in particular.
Such fully deserved pressure should be applied in concert with our NATO allies and other sympathetic players. The UK is too small a player militarily to bait such a heavily militarised and unstable country as Russia.
No lesser figure than the recently retired head of MI6, Sir John Sawers, has intimated as much, emphasising the danger that Russia currently poses to the UK.
