Petition UK to give up its permanent seat on the UN Security Council
More details
UK to give up its permanent seat on the UN Security Council if the UK Government can no longer afford or is unwilling to maintain defence spending at least 2% of UK GDP over the next 5 years, to allow another Nation who is prepared to maintain effective and deployable armed forces which can be used to support any future UN sanctioned action.
If UK defence falls below 2% of GDP it is likely our forces will become too small, disjointed and less effective.
