Petition Television Licence free for people with Sky, Virgin etc
More details
If a household or person is paying for any providers of television (Sky, Virgin media, B.T, Talk Talk etc), then as long as that person or household is in a contract with that provider for each 12 months (as is the a standard contract time), the provider should cover the cost of the television licence for that year.
People shouldn't have to pay upwards of a thousand pounds a year to watch programmes shown by these providers which include the BBC channels, only to have to pay another £145 a year on top of that, especially considering a lot of people watch a lot of sports, movies and documentaries not actually shown by the BBC, hence why they choose to use these providers.
The government and the executives of the BBC and the big providers need to be able to come to an arrangement so the already paying customer will be able to save £145 yearly.
