Rejected petition Ancient Greek

More details

Save the teaching of Ancient Greek at Camden School for Girls.

See the article: http://www.theguardian.com/education/2015/mar/11/camden-school-girls-last-non-selective-state-school-ancient-greek-considers-ditching-it#comments

The reduced funding from the government may result in Ancient Greek no longer being offered. Camden School for Girls is the only non-selective state school to teach Ancient Greek.

The government should provide the small amount of finance required to maintain access to this subject which should not be limited to a select number of schools.

The government have encouraged the teaching of ancient languages in primary schools and need to support the continuity of such teaching in schools such as Camden.

Thank you for your support.
