With technology set to wipe out huge numbers of jobs its time for a radical rethink.. The statutory working week has not changed for decades. We all could have much more leisure without any real loss in productivity . If we do not do this and change the way we work it will leave huge numbers of people unemployed with attendant mass social problems. Its time to be bold and plan for the future, the New Economic Foundation amongst others has research to show this feasible
