The recent budget reduced the LTA to £1.0M. This means that highly experienced doctors, teachers and other DB scheme members may take immediate/early retirement. This will have a significant detrimental effect on users of the NHS, Education services and beyond which will be felt by users within months. Longer term this is a disincentive to skilled workers staying in work in the UK.
