Petition Urge the Government to provide the funding to Nexus to reopen the Leamside Railway Line

The Leamside Railway is currently disused, yet could if reinstated provide a heavy rail link to the large Washington conurbation whilst providing additional capacity for the East Coast Mainline. Whilst Nexus is currently responsible for this rail line which is under the ownership of Network Rail, Nexus would be reliant on funding from central government to fund the reopening of this line. I urge the government to make the funding to make the funding available to Nexus to reopen this line!
