Rejected petition Reinstate national service

We, the undersigned, petition the government to call a referendum on bringing back compulsory national service for all citizens of the United Kingdom. Not only would this instil the respect and discipline that our society seems to be lacking in and assist an already overtaxed military, it would also provide young persons valuable training and skills which could be applied to jobs once their service is completed. Thank you for your time.
