Bringing back National Service, would educate, teach skills and social responsibility and respect to many young people. Events of the week commencing 7.8.11 highlight some of the problems with 'dissaffected' youth.
National Service does not have to mean working within the armed services and could encompass any work for the national good, for example working with the elderley or disabled, the National Parks Service or even keeping the streets clean.
