The government should discuss the possibility of a introducing a monthly national charitable donation. This would be achieved by deducting £1 from every taxpayers wages, according to the ONS there are approximately 30 million people employed within the UK. This £1 deduction could be raised for higher earners and have a minimum annual wage to qualify. Everyone spends far more than £1 on things they do not need or want and as a leading global nation we should do our part to help eradicate famine, disease and poverty at home and abroad.
