Rejected petition National Service

In light of the recent unrest and the clear need to find work to occupy certain elements of the population, I am proposing the reintroduction of National Service with the choice of either Military or Community Services for the good of the UK.

This will be for a period of 2 years minimum and any persons between the ages of 16 and 25 of either sex and including all religions that are not in either full time employment or full time education at either, a recognised University, recognised College or on a recognised apprenticeship will be eligible. People that continually attain low grades in an attempt to bypass the service or those on long term benefits (over 6 months) will serve either his country or a community away from his local area to stop gang culture. Those suddenly claiming ill health will also be found appropriate work to suit their needs within the service.
