Closed Look into the use of Tear Gas in the UK for riot control.

Arresting looters takes two police officers out of circulation. However, if Tear gas was used to disperse the looters, they would be a lot easier to control. Its when the mobs form the trouble occur so if you use Tear gas to stop the mobs forming maybe less trouble will occur.
