Rejected petition All people on unemployment benefits for more than 3 months should have to work for a charity while unemployed

The government should force those who sit at home on benefits doing nothing to work for a charity for a certain amount of hours per week while they 'search for a job', too many people sit at home for years just collecting benefits and doing nothing. They should be making a contribution to society in some way & I believe this should be done by working for a charity while unemployed. If they refuse to do so then their benefits should be taken away.
