The recent riots throughout the UK have proven how misuse of social media can play a major part.

Most of the time membership to social media web sites and PAYG mobile devises do not require any validation of a contact address. As a result those abusing these services can not be held accountable for any illegal activity.

By making the these service providers validate a users contact details and identity, it would make users think twice before abusing the system.
