I am an avid supporter of live music and entertainment in venues, and I believe it is imperative that we do everything to support these venues.

There is a huge concern that many people who attend music events are developing hearing problems due to exposure to excessive sound volumes. I propose that all venues hosting live entertainment should be made to stock ear plugs, to be made available to staff and customers. These can be purchased in bulk very, very cheaply and sold for nominal cost (<£1.00 per pair) with no financial impact to the businesses.
