The current Health and Safety Regulations are being abused in that they are being quoted to support ludicrous decisions contrary to the intention of the regulations. They have almost destroyed innovation and morale in the construction industry and are constantly used as the basis for decisions which have no connection with common sense, and have resulted in the creation of dangerous situations.
