There are many rare and endangered species in the UK that recieve no legal protection whatsoever.

Whether they are insects, plants, fungi or anything, if they are rare we should protect them.

A lot of species that are protected cost a lot of people or organisations a lot of money even though they are common and widespread such as common lizard, slow worm, pipistrelle bat etc. potentially the legal protection on these species could be removed or reduced to fund this protection on actually rare species and to help UK residents and businesses.
