The Mersey Tunnel tolls were supposed to be abolished after construction costs were covered, but here we are still paying higher and higher fees over 40 years later. If you live in the Wirral and need to drive to Liverpool for work, you have no choice but to fund Merseytravel's monopoly. Speak up now!
