I believe that corporal punishment should be re-instated, something has to be done to teach criminals that some things are unacceptable.
If the recent riots have shown us anything, it shows that some people are out of control and they have no respect for other hard working people or fear of punishment from the police.
Most of the rioters were youth's who thought it was just a way of showing how tough they were by controlling the streets and a chance to steal things without being punished.
Instead innocent people were killed, their homes were burnt down or their businesses were destroyed.
