This would go a long way to addressing many of todays youth problems including the Rioting and looting as well as the lack of "self responsibility" and RESPECT.
The positives of this are many:
This will reinforce the numbers of the Armed forces, whilst receiving valuable training for varied careers both inside and outside of the Army.
This could also reduce benefit payments for this youth sector.
It would reduce migration to the UK overnight.
A minimum conscription of 1year for 17 -21 yr olds.
