Rejected petition Abolish the House of Lords

Nobody in the House of Lords is elected, they are a waste of Tax payers money, they sleep rather than debate and spend £77k a year on wine. In a democratic system all representatives should be elected by the people, the lords are appointed by the Queen which contradicts the definition of democracy
