Councils have spent have spent huge amounts of rate payers money creating excelent cycleways, these are ignored by 70% of cyclists. This oftern causes congestion for other road users and danger to the cyclists themselves.

As a motorist and cyclist I look at this from both points of veiw. As a rate payer I see it as a great wast of money if cycleways are built and maintained at great cost and not used when councils are having to make cuts in essential services.
