Closed petition Debate a vote of no confidence in Rt Hon Amber Rudd Sec of State (DECC)
Closed on
The world needs a new agreement at the UN Climate Change Conference in Paris to de-carbonise and avoid excessive global warming. The Secretary of State for Energy & Climate Change is undermining renewable energy whilst promoting fossil fuels, the UK needs a credible voice at this vital conference.
Actions contrary to combating climate change include: promoting fracking whilst overriding local democracy; removing renewable energy subsidies; plans to sell off the Green Investment Bank; giving up on zero carbon homes; weakening incentives to buy greener cars, putting community owned renewable energy schemes at severe risk, killing the green homes scheme and creating barriers to the conversion of fossil fuel power stations to biomass.
