Closed Regulate and control the sale of acid in the UK.

The number of acid attacks on women has significantly increased in the UK. Currently anyone can purchase acid and attack an unsuspecting person, causing horrific life changing injuries or even death. Acid can be used as a weapon just like firearms but guns are regulated, so why is acid not?
