With increasing cuts in budgets, the apparent increase in violence and assaults on police at various events / public order situations & damage to public property, it is requested that the availability of water cannons to police services to be used as required on the approval of the chief constable.

2011 Riots in London: 1 death, 186 police officers injured, 10 firefighters injured, 3 police support officers injured. Overall 100 million pounds of damage!
2015 Lambeth disorder : 14 police officers and a police dog injured.
