UK skilled worker with qualifications and decades of experience was unable to secure an international transfer with current employer. Immigration authorities in the country in question required evidence that there was not already a citizen there who could do the job as well.

Australian immigration process requires that all basic requirements must be met to apply. These include.
Must be under 50
Must speak English at a competent level
Must have secondary education, qualifications or trade with relevant experience
Occupation must be on a required skills list and must have been employed in this occupation for 12 months before applying
Must show financial evidence to prove can be self sufficient
