Closed petition Make it compulsory to install solar panels to every new building in Britain.
Closed on
If every new building had solar panels installed it would cut the carbon footprint for each new build in the long term. The tenants living in the house would see a decreased energy bill yearly. The added costs for installing the solar panels could be added onto the house price when sold.
The average cost of solar panels and installation is between £6,000 and £9,000. (Referenced from Uswitch). This cost could be added onto the house price when sold which wouldn't make such a difference when spending a large some of money. This would help Britain to reduce it's green house gases and become a cleaner country.
