Closed Change contract law to help abused victims. No victim should be tied to a lease.

After experiencing an abusive and controlling relationship, I became a victim to control by way of contract law. A residential rental lease should have clauses to terminate or surrender as a result of an abusive partner.

Contract law - a lease is a lease
No break clause
No way out
Mental or physical abuse is a tool of control. Signing a lease should not mean you are tied to it should you be mistreated by perpetrator.
