Rejected petition No Quarterly Tax returns for millions of small business and self employed

The government and HMRC are proposing to force self employed and small business owners to spend countless man hours and use accountants every 3 months to do their tax returns.
This is an overbearing and unneccessary burden of compliance, just to slightly speed up tax collection.
