Petition Make ALL New Builds on Floodplains Raised on stilts Common Sense ?

With many issues on flooding in Somerset and now the North it makes sense to Build new properties higher from the ground, long term this would save Owners and Government a great deal of money long term, Owners should have cheaper insurance, less to Land fill, this should be common sense practice ?

All areas which are on Floodplains should have this looked at instead of still building on the ground with the Vast amount of Insurance claims, Large amount going to Land Fill which effects the Enviroment, the Vast cost to the Government and other Emergency services.

Needs Government Departments talking to each other on this.
