Rejected petition Reverse the decision of sitting GCSE and A-Level exams from May back to June.
Like many other parents I am outraged by the decision to move GCSE and A-Level exams from June to May to accommodate Ramadan.
More details
According to the Metro newspaper Ramadan affects 8.1% of students, hence a minority.
Why have they made such a change, only taking into consideration a minority of pupils. This will reduce the learning time for all other students and as we know the taught curriculum units are always behind schedule!
What about the 6.7m students who suffer from Hay Fever, will they get a reprieve during the summer month?

Why was this petition rejected?
It’s about something that the UK Government or Parliament is not directly responsible for.
Decisions about the dates of exams are taken by exam boards, not by the UK Government or Parliament.
