Rejected petition Make David Bowie "Heroes" new national anthem.

"Heroes" is an upbeat song, which shows our spirit in sport and in life.
It's uplifting, well-known and would be a great start to any sporting event. And, in a time of great sadness, it would be a great way for us to remember the man who changed pop.
The lyrics and the melody are beautiful and can be sung by young and old.
Because, after all, we can be heroes just for one day.
Why was this petition rejected?
It’s about something that the UK Government or Parliament is not directly responsible for.
This isn’t something that the UK Government or Parliament would be able to do. The use of the present National Anthem is a matter of tradition rather than having any legal or constitutional status.
