Cancer sufferers often have to forgo work when undergoing treatment, the impact of which is devastating for families already going through heartache and stress while juggling finances. Not everyone qualifies for ESA and are therefore left without financial assistance yet Cancer is very costly.

Special Rules apply to those deemed by a medical professional likely to die within 6 months of diagnoses. However no Cancer can be measured in this way. For example; other fatal complications could develop during treatment. It's outrageous to expect sufferers to undergo the further stress of doing battle with complicated DWP forms when undergoing chemotherapy and is counter productive to recovery. Cancer IS a special rule.
