Rejected petition To reinstate the metropolitan public carriage office, due to the failure of TFL

The Iconic London taxi has served London for over 300 years, it is seen as the best in the world. Under the metropolitan police the public carriage office (PCO) kept a high standard of regulation. Since the closure of the PCO, taxis and PHV'S licenses have been issued by Transport for London (TFL).

More details

The failure of TFL to regulate the amount of PHV licenses is bringing London to a standstill over 1000 licenses are being issue a week, which is also effecting the livelihood of all taxi drivers. The PHV can be any vehicle, drivers relie solely on an sat nav this in can be a safety hazard which the police have confirmed
