Rejected petition Lower the legal drinking age in the U.K from 18 years of age to 16

Many of the countries within the European union have a young age policy for drinking. Belgium allows people at the age of 16 to drink ales such as beer yet keeps a restriction of 18 on spirits. In this modern era I find we should keep up to date with many other modern countries laws.
