Rejected petition Allow abortion in Northern Ireland in cases of fatal foetal abnormality

In Northern Ireland, abortion is illegal unless the life of the mother is at risk.

In cases of fatal foetal abnormality, when doctors and parents know the baby will be stillborn, parents are forced to endure pregnancy and childbirth knowing their child will not live.

More details

This is a law set by the Stormont Assembly. However, it is also a human rights issue affecting people living in the UK. There is no reason at all to force people to give birth to dead bodies.
