Closed Put an end to the Cayman Island's tax haven status

Currently it is legal for businesses in the UK to divert their profits to the Cayman Islands and as a result do not have to pay tax on these profits. This costs the British public £20 billion per year, the same amount that the government are cutting from public services over the next 4 years.

"Its been estimated that legal tax avoidance keeps 20 billion pounds out of the UK treasury every year.
