Closed petition Compulsary Training on NeuroDevelopment Conditions for all School Staff
Closed on
Early intervention can have a significant effect on quality of life and is one of the keys to success for children with neurodevelopment conditions (3-4% of children in England) including, ASD, HFA, sensory processing difficulties, ADHD, dyslexia, dyspraxia, dyscalculia, dysgraphia and FragileX
Compulsory training would not only raise awareness of signs and syptoms and equip staff with the tools to empathise but could also result in earlier assessment, improving childrens well-being and prevent poor mental health in adolescence.
'early identification of impairments and conditions may allow children to receive specialist care services at an early stage, improving outcomes and preventing severe disability and sometimes death.' (Broach, S. et al (2010).
