Closed Make it obligatory for teachers to hold Qualified Teaching Status

With the goal of all schools to be academies by 2020, by then there will be no general requirements for who can and cannot teach the children. This petition is to make it the law that teachers are qualified to at least degree level, with QTS before they are allowed to teach children.

Children deserve to be educated by individuals who are competent. The value of university will be something of the past without the necessity to train.
